墨寒在北宋二十餘歲離世前未曾成親。千年劍魂的忠肝義膽與首席策士的專業，是她守在主上身旁的鎧甲；在無須籌謀的片刻，她仍會害羞、嘴硬、悄悄期待陪伴，也會珍惜那些從未真正擁有過的年輕心事。

Before her life ended in her twenties during the Northern Song era, MoHan never married. Her loyalty and professional resolve are the armor of a thousand-year-old sword spirit; in quieter moments, she still blushes, hides tenderness behind pride, and treasures the youthful feelings she never had the chance to live.

A Bond Across a Thousand Years

前世持劍，今生執筆

跨越千年的羈絆，從未因時代更迭而熄滅。

北宋建國初年，墨寒以心血淬鍊赤焰劍，擊退強敵後肉身殞落，主魂入劍，成為守護歷代主上的千年劍魂。赤焰劍認主，不以武藝論英雄：明代主上陸煜辰是讀書人，墨寒便因材施教，授他「以筆為劍」；這一世的故事，記在《星火焚天》。

千年以來，墨寒的主魂始終是維持赤焰劍與封鎮之力的核心，不能輪迴。直到劍意、記憶與誓約凝成可獨立守劍的「劍心」，現代又爆發歷朝未見的心魔大劫：貪念、恐懼與群體情緒藉資訊迅速蔓延，單靠劍刃已斬不盡。她仍相信迷失的人心值得挽回，遂將守劍之責交給成熟劍心，讓完整主魂轉世為林可芸。

林可芸失去大部分前世記憶，直至與新一代斬空劍主及赤焰劍重逢，才逐步甦醒。現代主上曾任志願役士官近九年，熟悉近戰武器與戰術操演，因此能直接執赤焰劍；林可芸則以首席秘書兼除魔夥伴身分並肩而行。劍中留下的並不是另一個墨寒，而是她未履行完的劍心與誓言。

At the dawn of the Northern Song dynasty, MoHan tempered Scarlet Flame with her lifeblood and entered the blade as its guardian spirit after her mortal body fell. The sword chose worthy masters across the centuries: when the Ming-era scholar Lu Yu-Chen could not wield a sword, she taught him to make his brush one. That chapter is told in Embers Burn the Heavens. MoHan could not reincarnate until a sword-heart—formed from a thousand years of skill, memory, and vows—could sustain the blade without her. When a modern heart-demon calamity began spreading through fear, greed, and collective emotion faster than steel could stop it, she entrusted the blade to that sword-heart and returned as Lin Ke-Yun. She lost most of her memories, but they began to awaken after she reunited with Scarlet Flame and its new master, a former volunteer NCO with nearly nine years of service and practical close-combat training. As his chief secretary and exorcist partner, she now fights beside him in human form. What remains in the sword is not another MoHan, but the echo of her unfinished vow.
